Sat on Sutton Bank ridge, waiting for the day to kick in a abit then got one thermal to cloud base.Decided to start and went straight to the first turn point without turning or losing any height. Turned south and headed to Blythe. Conditions went to crap and had to really scrape to get a climb over a power station but then spotted another glider climbing. 4-5 knots to 4500ft! Got to the second turn point and glid back to the cloud that I go the climb uder to find nothing. Scrapped at between 500 & 800ft for about 40mins. Note to self - hang on and wait for the sun! Got a climb eventually and cruised very slowly back towards Sutton Bank, drifting downwind all the time. Helped a lot in the end, got a wave climb near the Humber Bridge and got in fairly easily. Thought I was about last as it had taken so long to get round, but got told by the crew that I was 3rd back, and only 4 actually managed. Everyone else got washed out by the wave that I managed to climb in. Result!

202km, 4hrs on task, 5 in the air.
